Deaver Vineyards, located on Steiner Road near Renwood, has a huge picnic area with manicured lawns and a pond and usually several geese.  This is truly an ideal stop for picnicking.  Their barn-style tasting room offers plenty of room for larger groups and is frequented by group tours and limousines.  When tasting at Deaver, you should certainly try the Ports.  They have several different kinds of ports and they go well with the chocolate which is provided.  In addition to the ports, they have a bargain white table wine which is light and crisp and quite good.  Furthermore, Deaver offers beautiful bed & breakfast facilities.
