| Renwood winery produces some of the most respected Zinfandels in both Amador and El Dorado counties. The winery actually specializes in Zins and they do an excellent job of it. With selections such as Old Vine, Grandmere, Fiddletown, Grandpere, D'Agostini, and Jackrabbit Flat, Renwood has a Zin to fit your tastes. Renwood is conveniently located off of Steiner Rd, they are across the street from Shenandoah Vineyards. Of particular note is the "Old Vine Zin"; this wine is one of the best examples of Zinfandels in all of the foothills, and what makes it even better is the price. The tasting room staff does a good job of making your experience entertaining and enjoyable. They will often have the 'wheel of smell' with several different complimenting fragrances in wine glasses for you to compare with the wines. Try it! Do not go wine tasting in Amador without a stop at Renwood. | ||||
