Located about a mile down Grizzly Flat Road, when you see the big barn prepare to turn left into the driveway. Busby Cellars is on the historic property of the Meyers familty (yes, the same Meyers as up near South Lake Tahoe). Of course, the location is beautiful and it seems to be perfect for the winery. The modern and tidy tasting room is open from Friday through Sunday 11:00am-5:30pm. When I was there, the tasting room had offerings of Sangiovese, Barbera, Red table wine, Syrah, and Zin. I thought the entire line-up of wines was very solid and impressive, particularly taking into account that this is a new winery. In addition, I found the prices to be quite reasonable. I am definitely looking forward to a return trip! |
