Mitchell should be a sure stop when in the Fair Play area. They have
a really fascinating section of expensive european wines on display in the
tasting room. When we were there, we were treated to barrel tastings
of the 2000 reserve Sangiovese and the 2000 Petite Syrah. Both
should be excellent, the syrah may be a bit green right now but we would
have no problem purchasing futures. The wines were good down the
line. Also, we found the port to be rich and with good balance.
