| If you can find your way off of
highway 50 near Smith Flat and then on to Jaquier, you can't miss Fenton
Herriott (Jaquier also intersects with Carson Road). A new tasting room has
opened to showcase their wines. Currenlty, their offerings include
Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Syrah (the house specialty), Cab and Zin. While the
estate vines are young and the operation small, Fenton Herriott seems to be
off to the races! Very enjoyable wines. I liked the Syrah quite well. Chrissy;
operating the tasting room, was knowledgeable and approachable. I will be
returning soon... |
