| Gold
Hill Vineyards is located on Cold Springs Road about 3 miles south of
Highway 49 going towards Placerville. It is located in the historic
gold rush district of "Gold Hill". Gold Hill Vineyards
offers a beautiful facility which is available for weddings and other
events. In addition, the main facility has a beautiful view
overlooking the hills and vineyards below. If you look hard enough,
you can see a waterfall in the distance. Also, Gold Hill sports an
in-house brewery. I haven't had a chance to try the brews but I
understand they are good and I am looking forward to trying them on my
next visit. Of course, I did taste the wines and I found the 1999
Chardonnay to be very enjoyable and at a reasonable cost. I also
found the "California Champagne" to be quite good and a bargain at $12.00.
