Holly's
Hill Vineyards is located off of Pleasant Valley Road on a smaller road
named "Leisure Lane". As a matter of fact, both Sierra
Vista and Holly's Hill are neighbors at the end of Leisure Lane.
Holly's Hill is one of our favorite stops. The winery specializes in Rhone
varietals such as Viognier, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. In addition,
they do a wonderful job with other foothill standards such as Zinfandel and
Chardonnay. In
particular, we enjoyed the Viognier which is a variety that is picking up
popularity. We thought they did such a good job with it that
we had to purchase some. If you are lucky enough to happen by when
they are pouring the Patriarche (a delicious Chateau neuf du pape blend), by
all means you should try it. Truly our favorite Rhone inspired wine in the
foothills. All the wines across the board were excellent. In addition,
the facility is located on top of a ridge overlooking a beautiful canyon.
The facility is modern and clean and looks like it would comfortably
accommodate a good-size crowd. In addition, Holly's Hill hosts several
fun events at the winery throughout the year. Check their website for
