| Madrona
winery has been a favorite stop of ours for years. It is located off
of Carson Road behind High Hill Ranch. Madrona produces excellent
Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Port, and an
outstanding Botritis (noble rot) Riesling, among others. In addition
to producing outstanding wines, we always find that they are an excellent
value too. If they are offering the "Reserve Tasting", we
would certainly recommend it. Madrona seems to make an extra
effort with their tasting room staff. They are always fun,
knowledgeable and very down-to-earth without even the slightest snootiness
(is that a word?). By the way, if you stop in and Paul is working the
tasting room, tell him we say 'hey'...
With Madrona's quality wines, and the fun tasting room atmosphere, it will
continue to be a favorite stop on our endless wine tour.
