Started in
1977, Sierra Vista is one of the pioneers of modern winemaking in El
Dorado County. Located on Leisure Lane near Holly's
Hill, Sierra Vista has been collecting awards for over 20 years for
it's high quality wines. One of Sierra Vista's "flagship"
wines is Syrah, which happens to be one of my favorites. The Syrah
and the Herbert Vineyards Zinfandel are great. In addition, Sierra
Vista is located on top of a mountain with a beautiful view of the
sierras (hence the name); I would certainly recommend bringing a
lunch and enjoying the views and the wines.
