| Comments: | I recently had the pleasure of
visiting Stover Oaks under the new ownership of Lou and Jan Garcia. The
small winery near Hanks Exchange, off of Pleasant Valley Road has current
offerings of Sauvignon Blanc, Zin, Rosé, Cab blend Red, and an award winning
merlot based port. True to foothill wineries, Lou, owner/wine maker, was
staffing the tasting room and was happy to share his insight into the wines
and winery while I tried the current selections. Lou also was kind
enough to share his latest creations of Zin and Syrah out of the barrel
which is always fun and the wines seem to be developing nicely. In addition
to winery operations, Lou and Jan have facilities available for weddings and
